Policies and Membership Application

 

Policies:

 

                1.             Personal Floatation Devices (Life Jackets) are to be worn and secured whenever near or on the water. No person will be allowed to participate in any on-the-water club activity without such a PFD.

 

                2.             Alcohol must not be consumed either before or during any on-the-water activity. After such activity, persons are free to consume their beverage of choice, but must assume all responsibility for such action.

 

                3.             No one, club member or otherwise, is to participate in any club activity without filing a waiver of liability prior to the activity in question. It is the duty of trip leaders to verify that such releases have been filed.

 

                4.             The minimum number of boats required for a club-sanctioned trip is three.

 

                5.             Helmets are required and must be worn on all whitewater trips above Class 1. Trip coordinators can require helmets and/or other safety devices be carried on any outing they organize.
