4 - 6 – The Northwest Chapter of the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association has scheduled their Spring Rendezvous for May 4 to 6 in Bellingham, WA, on Lake Samish. A variety of events are planned, from demonstrations of wooden boat building techniques to a birch bark "show and tell". The affair is free and open to the public. This event has become an institution for learning about the river's unique ecology and wildlife while enjoying its beauty
